According Ken Laird, of 1250 ESPN in Pittsburgh, Santonio Holmes doesn't believe the Steelers will pay him market value when his contract is up after the 2010 season.
The Steelers would have the option to franchise Holmes if he has a breakthrough season, but the organization is said to be "furious" over the receiver's troubling twitter rants of late. The timing is far from ideal with Hines Ward reaching his decline phase, but there's precedent with the team letting knucklehead Plaxico Burress walk in 2005.
