Looks like it will be the mighty mouse show, LT is out with the ankle injury.

As expected, Tomlinson has been ruled out of the week 2 game vs. the Ravens, which leaves little Darren Sproles to go out get slapped around by Ray Lewis an company.

Expected this for the past few days, and while some are expecting nice numbers out of Sproles, I could only give him a modest #22 ranking in the cheatsheets. Honestly, it is hard to gauge. The guy isn't going to go out and move the chains, but the potential is there for him to possibly bust loose for a big run and make his numbers at the end of the day look good.

And the following concern has to follow.....

What are we to expect from LaDainian Tomlinson from this point forward? I said that last year was the last year I would hold on to him in a dynasty league, and the last year that I would target him highly in a redraft.

Well, I didn't follow my own advice. In a dynasty league trade, I moved Steven Jackson and Michael Crabtree for LaDainian Tomlinson and Roy Williams (receiver). I cringed at the thought of bringing LT2 to my roster, but at the same time, it was in exchange for what has looked like a potentially injury prone bust on a bad team. As for the receiver swapped, I love Crabtree's upside, but that is turning into a mess, and what can I say, it is tough for me to pass up on a Permian Panther.

As a Tomlinson owner, what are you thinking of doing now? hang on and hope for the best? Look to swing a deal for someone who is buying into Tomlinson as being a big player still this season? Keep him because you think he is still going to produce big?

I got LT @ the 7 spot in my local redraft league and at this point there is no way that I'm selling low on him. I have Sproles on my roster so I'm benching both for what I perceive to be better week 2 options and hoping for the best after that.I still have faith that LT will rebound from this...maybe.

Can't blame you at all for taking Tomlinson there, but do you feel confident that he will retain that draft value, rather than experience another injury filled season?

Chargers wishing they would have held on to Gartrell Johnson right now?

I don't think you can use the words Faith and Maybe in the same sentence German.

But in good faith, maybe you can.

As an LT owner in 3 leagues......I am glad he is being held out this week. LT playing through injury is not a good thing. Hold him out and allowing him to get healthy is a good thing. I have Sproles in 2 of the 3, the only one I do not is the IBL, but I am deep at WR and we can start 4 so I am hoping to survive while he is out and hope for the best. I am not looking to trade him in any of the leagues right now, return would suck.

If it is just a one week and back to 100% situation, I can go with that.

My concern is, "how bad is this ankle"? Too many times, we see something like this affect a running back or receiver for a large part, or even the remainder of a season.

Given recent history with Tomlinson, this just ads to the quickly growing list of injury problems.

But how many times do they try to play through it or come back too soon. At this point in his career he can't afford to come back too early. Sit and get your body right.
