Kyle Cook has wrapped up the Bengals starting center job. An undrafted free agent out of Michigan St. in 2007, Cook has played in just five games on special teams. The Bengals are high on his football IQ and communication skills, which they'll need with new starters at four different positions.

nothing but rave reviews so far. Strong and has a nasty streak to him, him and Donte Jones got into it during mandatory min-camp a couple weeks ago. Hopefully he is the anchor they have been lacking. I still think Luids will push him as he gains exp.

How long does it typically take for centres to get it as far as the playcalling responsibilities. Seattle is also in the same spot with Unger, although I think Unger has the advantage of much more experience around him.

Plus Unger's talented and experienced enough to be plugged in anywhere on the line.

I also felt Luigs would be the Bengals' starting C in week one. He could be moved to G in a pinch, though. he played a bit there at Arkansas.

G's may be the best place for Cincy at the moment with Whit and Bobbie Williams.
