The Nashville Tennessean reports Titans HC Jeff Fisher said that WR Kenny Britt's absence from practice on Friday was excused. Britt is apparently denying that he hit anyone in Friday morning's night club fight. “I haven't ruled out the possibility of him not playing. It really depends on the information I'm able to obtain before kickoff. That's really all I can say,” Fisher said. Fisher said he was “giving Kenny the benefit of the doubt,” but also indicated that he is still gather in information on the matter. “This is what I know. I'm still of course gathering facts. He did participate in practice. I excused him from practice while I'm still trying to obtain information. My understanding is that this point is that he was at the wrong place at the wrong time, that there was an altercation and that he was one of those that was trying to break it up. That's my understanding right now, and I'm still gathering facts."Fri Oct 22, 2010 --from FFMastermind.com

The Nashville Tennessean reports Titans WR Kenny Britt took part in a bar brawl early Friday morning in downtown Nashville, and one of the men involved said there’s a “good chance” he will press charges against the second-year pro. The incident occurred at 1:45 a.m. at Club Karma off Lower Broad, according to police. Witnesses identified Britt as being involved in the fight and striking another man. Britt, 22, has not been arrested or charged in what Metro Police spokesman Don Aaron called an “open misdemeanor assault investigation.’’ Police said a fight between Harold Pointer, 26, and Bradford Miser, 29, broke out in the bar area. Witnesses said Miser punched Pointer, and the two men fell to the ground. Britt allegedly joined in and hit Pointer. “According to witnesses, Britt began striking Pointer,’’ Aaron said. “Security at the club as well as a witness then pulled Britt and Miser off of Pointer.’’ Contacted by The Tennessean on Friday, Pointer said he had to go to the emergency room to get four stitches above his left eye. Asked if he planned to press charges, Pointer said there's a "good chance" and “I am looking for a lawyer to pursue it.’’Fri Oct 22, 2010 --from FFMastermind.com
