KC WR Dexter McCluster is doubtful for Monday Night.

McCluster probably is not a real consideration in most leagues at this point. But in bigger leagues with large roster and flexy lineups he has been a favorite sleeper. There was the chance that he could be on the field a lot as a WR and KC has even used him, successfully, to rush the ball, which can help to pile up pointage. But this sexy, flexy, sleeper missed Fridays practice with an illness and the Chiefs have listed his status as doubtful for the Monday Night Matchup. Since it is a Monday night game it makes McCluster a risky play. With an illness he could end up feeling better by Monday but if you use him in your lineup you could end up with a goose egg unless you have Chargers WR or another Chiefs WR to put in instead. So while I like McCluster as a late round grab it might be the better part of valor here to wait until week 2 with him.

I was looking forward to starting him in SOFFL2. My other options are pretty boring.

Yeah, McCluster has a bit of excitement about him. The rushing attempts can pick up points at a higher rate than receiving yardage. If he shakes out as a #3wr and extra 20 yards on the ground can make him a nice start. If he ends up being a starter he could become an important starter for your Fantasy squad. Very Nice dynasty potential with McCluster. I would have to think he would be a very nice 3wr and wouldn't hesitate to use him frequently at all.
