We were waiting until he finally gave in, and it looks like today was the day.

Now that all those pesky mini-camps are over hopefully he puts down the whine and rejoins the team.

Of course it's just a year. They franchise tagged him like months ago. But he decided to bitch about a trade until now.

They franchised him by only signing him to a one yr contract ? Shows neither side wants to be there but the team doesn't want him to play against them either.

Yeah, that's pretty much what it means. After the season, Peppers said he wanted to be traded. Instead of even discussing it with him, they franchise tagged him. He continued to yell for a trade all off season, and then just now kinda gave in and signed the one year deal because it was clear they weren't going to sign him.

And after this one yr stint is over, how old will he be then? And if he just happens to get hurt this year, i'm betting they release him , knowing he won't be able to sign with another team and be a force, depending on the severity of the injury if he gets one.
