Judge to force NFL and NFLPA to mediation

It is being reported by Adam Schefter at ESPN.com that Judge Nelson has informed both league and players that she will be forcing both sides to mediation. This is the best scenario for us fans, as this will force negotiations and will be the quickest route to solving this issue. As to who will be in charge of the mediation, that will be released sometime this week. NFL wanted Cohen and it to take place in Washington D.C. Players wanted Judge Nelson and it to stay in Minn.
 
That is good news.Now lets see if anything good comes out of. Seeing they can't even agree on a place or mediator, kinda have doubts.

Ah, but that is the beauty of this. This is mandatory forced mediation, so the mediator and location are chosen by the judge. No one can gain say. It will also give said mediator a whole lot more power to be in control than Cohen had before.

Best guess is the go Cohen to give some ownership love, but keep mediation in Minny to keep players happy.

Overall it's just a big fkn mess when somebody has to hold there hands and tell them when and where and with who just to hopefully get a deal done. Why can't the fans be the mediator, since we pay their salaries anyways and w/o us there would be no them. Make it a majority rules situation on the votes. Sounds fair to me.

Jurisdiction. She does not have jurisdiction in D.C. I don't think. Cohen is a federal mediator, so he could be used in Minn.
