Honestly, they have nothing to lose. Why not get the kids some snaps and see how he does? dunno:
 
About when I figured the change would come. Once they benched Leftwich and quietly gave up on any hopes for the season, it was just a matter of getting close to mid season.
 
I've been waiting all week to wake up and find this nightmare over with... but Halloween always delivers gory and fright. The Bucs just set Johnson up to fail... not playing him in training camp or pre-season or developing him when they had time. Johnson's 4th career start was against a QB who's been to 4 SuperBowls! No one was surprised when JJ fell down in London. But now, to play Freeman and discontinue JJ's education is cruel.

Can't say I'm surprised tho, like Mike said it was just a matter of time now that mid-season is approaching.
