NFL Impact
Dwyer is a powerful inside runner who wastes no time getting up field. He is a one cut and go North-South runner with good vision. He has good speed for his size and is more elusive than some think. Dwyer's most impressive strength is his ability to gain yards after contact. Dwyer is a tough kid who is hard to bring down. He finishes his runs and picks up the tough extra yards. Due to his college offense, blocking will be something he needs to work on, but has the frame and toughness to pick this up. Despite his brutal running style, he has been very durable and did not miss a game in college. Dwyer has the potential to be a workhorse at the next level.

So where do you think Dwyer will land? How successful will he be in the NFL?

20's way too high when they can probably wait and get him with their round 2 pick. This draft is soooo deep in quality RB's that it actually wouldn't shock me if Spiller is the only round 1 guy.

He looked fat and ran slow at the combine today. Probably ran himself into the mid to late 2nd round...........

Well he came in at 229, which is actually less than most expected and a lower weight than he played the season.

But your dead on with his 40, it was SLOW! 4.68 is pretty slow for a RB. I think he can say goodbye to any dreams of rd 1.

i honestly hope the need is not there for the texans and they can wait until rnd 3 or later to select a rb . . . that is a slow time . . . ;)

Well, his weight may be less than expected, but he still looked kind of flabby compared to the other backs, who looked more chiseled. Like he had been eating Pizza instead of Chicken...........

i have to admit i hadn't done much research on the rb's this year, but i was going on where i've seen him in some mocks and what i had been hearing around the board on dwyer in that he is supposed to be the best of the bigger backs . . . ;)

from yahoo sports:

After running in the high 4.6 range during the NFL combine last month in Indianapolis (some scouts had him clocked at 4.69) Dwyer bounced back at Georgia Tech’s pro day Monday, running in the mid 4.5 range. One scout I talked to timed Dwyer at 4.53.
