Jon Kitna - Week 15

Is Kitna a quality pick up against the Cardinals for the semi-finals? Would you start him over Flacco vs NO and Roethlisberger vs NYJ?

I'm thinking I may pick him up and drop B.Celek since I'm rolling with V.Davis. Any feedback from the outlaws?

Passing TD -6, PPR league.

Edit: Kitna Plays WASH week 15 and arizona week 16. this means im picking him up either way. now question is should I start him this week against the skins or just against the cards, or both?

I think ben or kitna would have the biggest upside even with Ben's bad matchup. The Jest have been playing bad lately and Pit my run all over them so that might take away from his points. If you need a sure thing i would go with Flacco. Im sure he would almost certainly get you 17-20 points in standard scoring. If you need to take a chance at big ger points then go with Ben.

I already made a post essentially saying I am going with Kitna the rest of the way in one pool, so I love his upside, and I love his matchups.

Flacco goes against the saints who somehow have this great pass D. (8 TDs allowed passing, the fewest in the league. Dont ask me how, I really dont get it either). The numbers just say he will not be a great matchup.

As for Ben, the Jets D is still the Jets D. They only allowed 10 points, and that was only because Sanchez GIFTED the dolphins amazing field position with brutal turnovers. Yes, Brady picked them apart. But he also picked apart that Chicago D, who used to be great against the pass too, and in weather that had some people scared to play any passing people from that game. Brady is playing at a superhuman level, dont penalize the jets D for that.

Gotta be Kitna for me, simply because of the matchup. Washington is a terrible D, and the cowboys O is actually clicking really well under Garrett. And our D is bad enough that Washington could score enough to force Kitna to pass all game.


I just dont see Flacco getting those monsters 17-20 points. That would mean 200 yards - 2 TDs - no turnovers. That would mean he does the same as he did against the texans D.

The Jets are crumbling, Ben will have a good day. Kitna is hard to trust, but I would grab him and start Ben.

Machine, thanks for all of the feedback. you sold me, although I'm not sure how much selling I needed as I was leaning that way anyway. I'm up against my brother in the semis this week and would love to put a butt whoopin on the scoreboard. Plus a win makes my wallet fatter.

I grabbed Kitna because of his matchups these 2 weeks and because of the Rodgers injury. I also have Cutler sitting on the bench.

Yeah this is my dilemma. I'm thinking of starting Schaub over Kitna this week. But I don't know if there will be 10 points difference between the two this week. Either is a good start this week I think.
