John Skelton wins starting QB job in Arizona

For week one anyway. Both QB's have pretty much sucked in preseason but Skelton's willingness to go long is probably good news for Fitzgerald owners. Kolb becomes a high $$ backup QB, for now. I doubt the final chapter has been written in the desert so stand by for more bad QB play.
 
Jamarcus Russell would fit right in with that team.

He can throw 80 yds from his knees, they say.

Since the Az. QB will spend a lot of time on his knees (or back) this could prove valuable.

Unfortunately, even Fitz can't cover 80yds in less than a second.
 
This is as good as news as Fitz owners could hope for though. Skelton seems to be able to get the ball down-field better.....but neither is a great option.
 
That offensive line is weak and battered. Perhaps the winner in this battle to start is actually the loser.

At least next season, Kolb will still have his dignity and his teeth.
