Joey threw in a couple of side charges as well:

The Associated Press reports Arizona Cardinals LB Joey Porter was arrested Saturday, March 27, for suspicion of drunken driving and has been accused of assaulting an officer and resisting arrest. Porter refused to provide his drivers license and began to roll up his window when asked to step out of the car. Police say Porter slapped the officer's hand when the officer reached to unlock the door. Porter eventually cooperated with police and was arrested.

So the story I read was that he gave the police shit because they pulled over his friend. Hmmmmmmm. Let's see. I have been drinking and I'm going to bring attention to myself with the police by sticking my nose into this situation. Yes, I'm certain that's the smart thing to do.

Genius I tell you............

Another NFL player getting slapped with a DUI no surprise here.

:homer: Scuse me ociffer could you direct me too the nearest drunken doughnuts :biglaugh:

(RotoWire) Porter, who was arrested Saturday, is accusing the officer of unlawfully striking him, the Bakersfield Californian reports. Analysis: Porter's allegation is under investigation in the context of the whole incident, according to the California Highway Patrol. Porter was arrested for drunken driving, battery on a peace officer and resisting arrest. His lawyer contends that his breath test could have been below the .08 legal limit, especially since the test has a margin of error of .02. This incident is obviously still being sorted out, but it can't make the Cardinals feel good about their recent signee, especially since he arrived with some character concerns.
