Before the year is out he'll for sure be taking snaps and receptions away from Shockey. The coaching staff is jazzed about this kid's ability. He's been the toast of the off season workout praise.

The Saints have signed third-round draft pick Jimmy Graham. The team announced the four-year deal on Wednesday, but did not release any terms. Graham, a tight end who played one season of football at the University of Miami, is the fifth of the Saints 2010 draft picks to sign with the team.

Analysis: Graham will compete with David Thomas to be the No. 2 TE in New Orleans behind Jeremy Shockey. Graham is not worth drafting in the majority of seasonal leagues this year, but he should be selected with a mid-round pick in rookie-only leagues. Shockey might be in his final year with the Saints, and Graham could be the future starter for New Orleans starting in 2011.
