Jets playing it smart?

Well I know many do not want to hear about Tebow, but i think the Jets are playing their cards right in dealing with Tebow. The smartest thing they could do is to not make his role a "backup QB". Really not even a 3rd stringer. If the Jets were to make this hypothetical scenario public knowledge I believe great things could happen in New York. If Tebow's role was strictly a "utility" player(part-time fullback,TE, with the threat to do many things, etc) I would be excited for the Jets. If the Jets make him a backup and Sanchez starts to play bad(and he will at some point) the fans will scream for Tebow which I think would be a mess if the coaches were to succumb like in Denver. It kinda seems like they are leaning to the before mentioned scenario which I am hoping for.
Just my 2 cents

In other words...

Make Tebow a sideshow freak.

I'm ok with that.

He's not especially useful at any one position yet his popularity demands that he see the field.

Kinda like when Dallas used to bring in Deion Sanders on offensive plays. What a thrill for the fans!

Will Tebow return punts too or just play the skill positions?

Maybe make him Head Cheerleader or Mascot. Imagine the excitement in the stands when he took off his little green Jet wings and put on his helmet. Man, the crowd would go CRAZY!

A quick prayer and into the line-up.

"Sanchez hands off to Greene, Greene laterals back to Sanchez, Sanchez passes back to Tebow at flanker, Tebow hits Santonio Holmes across the middle for 3 yards!....and the crowd goes WILD!"

Sounds perfect to me. Lord knows the Jets "ball control" offense hasn't amounted to anything.

I was glad to read that he worked with the first team yesterday. FTR rotoworld predicts that Tebow will be the starter in New York before their bye week.
