NewYorkJets.com reports New York Jets LB Calvin Pace has been suspended four games for violating the NFL's policy on performing enhancing substances. Pace said in a statement that the violation occurred because he used an over-the-counter dietary supplement that contained a substance banned by the league that he did not know about.

The Bergen Record, reports New York Jets LB Vernon Gholston may start at outside linebacker while LB Calvin Pace serves his four-game suspension. This sounds like a great opportunity for therookie disappointment Vernon Gholston opening the door for him to get some consistent playing time. The highly regarded rookie was drafted by the Jets to solidify its defense for the future but the future may be now.

Gholston's not a rookie...

But, anyway, all I have to say to this is, "YES!"

It validates my view that the Jets as a team mirror NYC as a city. Shallow and self-obsessed shitbags (although I know decent people from that city, they seem to be the exception). I'm SO glad the Fins didn't sign this dude.
