jets d + roddy for a starting RB trade help???

JETS D FOR A RB TRADE???? 31 minutes ago
my friend wants the jets D really badly. i have them. i need a good starting RB badly and he wants a good WR.

heres his starting RBs:

Michael Turner, Atl
Clinton Portis, Was
Brian Westbrook, Phi

he also has harvin, reggie bush, michael bush, and devin hester on the bench

here are my WRs (and RBs)

Randy Moss
Roddy White
Cotchery
Mason
Walter
MJD
Addai
J Stew
Caddy
Mike Bell

i offered a trade of jets defense and roddy white for clinton portis and he said it sounded good...would it be a good trade for me? should i ask for another player as well?

any trade advice for one of his starting RBs would be greatly appreciated

Hell no. You would be screwing yourself with that one.

He wants what he thinks is a premium defense, make him pay a premium price.

He gets:
Jets Defense
Roddy White

You get:
Percy Harvin
Michael Turner

You improve your RB situation and get a better points return with Harvin than he gets with the Jets. Portis will likely break down at some point this year.

Let's be serious here. No one is taking that offer. Defense's aren't worth it.

Try to keep Roddy White. Try to trade Jets D and J Stew or Caddy for Clinton Portis. If you get Portis you make it largely.

Also next time you attempt a trade don't show your hand to him.

NO do not do that trade. R. White could be a Tier 1 WR this year is not a top tier 2. You should of ask him what would he give you for the Jets D and R. White. He would first proably offer Portis but thats not a good trade. Portis will break down this year and L. Betts wil take over. Decline the offer and hope he offers Turner or Westy. Then you bite.

I agree 100% "IF" he offers Turner but I'd have to think long and hard about doing the trade for Westbrook. I need to see Westy play a bit more to be convinced that he's back.
