Jerry Jones Sees More Touches For Cowboy RB Felix Jones

Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said during Thursday's practice, which wrapped a third week of OTA workouts, that his hopes for Felix have soared considerably heading into this season. "My expectations for Felix are to really have his touches to the ball upped significantly, he'll be a major touch-factor in the offense."

We just talked about Jones here a lot. Most of the Knocks were limited touches. Sounds like FJ just got a big fantasy boost. There is some talk of him being used on both Kick and Punt returns. Nothing rock solid yet on that but it could be very interesting for those leagues that score return yardage.

Yep! Put the ball in the hands of you best running back. Sorry MB3, you can only hope to fight for #2 on this depth chart (and likely lose if it is a fair playing field)

Could this be true? Has Jason Garrett seen the light?

Can he follow the NYG model that has use of both backs consistantly so both can contribute and take advantage of the defenses they face?!?!?!

Quite honestly...I am mistified by Dallas. As an Eagles fan I love it...but as a football fan I am mistified. You have an Oline that is huge....three rbs that can be very useful, a top of the world Te and you spent most of the last two years keeping Owens shut up.

Now Owens is gone....and I am very fearful that Dallas might just have woke up and seen their folly. Take any team with a mid range to solid defense...and put an offense on the field that can churn time of possession and scoring along with the quick strike when needed.....and that defense suddenly becomes top flight.

Personally, I think Dallas if they really do use F.Jones and Barber and some Choice as they should ....will be a beast again....especially if it controls Romo and his knack for the mistake.

This could be a very, very good NFC East this year.

Dallas runs like they should....Philly got the Wr depth they needed....NYG has some concerns...but still solid. I actually like some of what Washington has done as well.

The rest of the NFC should be very, very concerned.

While keeping an eye on the Cowboys' training camp is always wize for FF fanatics, a closer eye this year might be advisable. Could we see the Cowboys start the game with the blazing speed of Felix Jones? Will Barber go back to his original role of hard hitting closer at the end of games again?

It's interesting.
