From Rotoworld,

Eagles acquired RB Jerome Harrison from the Browns in exchange for undisclosed compensation.

Any thoughts on his role?

cbssports.com,
The Eagles have acquired RB Jerome Harrison from the Browns in exchange for RB Mike Bell. Bell served as the backup to LeSean McCoy in Philadelphia this season, but he hadn't produced decent numbers in limited playing time. Harrison will now back up McCoy.

Analysis: In Cleveland, the bruising runner will now back up Peyton Hillis. He's actually a good fit for what the Browns do with their running backs, and if Hillis were to miss regular playing time, Bell would be the guy running in his place. Thus, if you own Hillis, see to it that you insure him properly with Bell on your bench. Bell is not a recommended option for Week 6 when the Browns play at the Steelers.

Good fit for both. Harrison is more the type of back Philly needs. He can run wide or up the middle and is a solid receiver. Bell is more the bull type of back that Cleveland wants to use and will be a better back up for Hillis.

This is a fabulous deal for the players and teams.

Could be a good time for you Harrison owners to get trade value for him

Coach Eric Mangini emphasized that the Jerome Harrison trade was a direct result of Peyton Hillis emerging as the offensive focal point. Analysis: "Peyton's role has expanded and Mike Bell is a guy we liked in the free agency process," said Mangini. "He's more of a fit for us and feel that Jerome was a good fit for them." With the Browns embracing a defense/ball control philosophy, Bell can step in as a downhill runner if Hillis misses time. Harrison, a more versatile back, is a better fit for Andy Reid's West Coast offense.

Is there any indication that Harrison will take touches away from McCoy?

I don't think that will be a big problem, Harrision, (and Bell for that matter) may see like 3 more touches a game each just because they are more compatible in their new systems. The only real problem is if McCoy gets so banged up he goes out and that presents the same problem even if Bell was there.

With McCoy/Harrison the only concern I have is the ribs and McCoy tuffed it out last week.
With Hillis/Bell I see another problem just beyond the Quad injury to Hillis, and that is the total committment to a pound it ball control offense with absolutely no threat to keep teams from stacking up. Hillis will continue to get pounded and this might need to become Hillis/Bell/Davis. Hillis will lose more touches to this than McCoy, but, as a Hillis owner that might be a good thing. This might open it up for him on his touches to catch more passes on first down.

I think it was good for both teams and not bad for any of the players involved fantasy wise.
