Jermaine Gresham Bengals TE

Gresham had four catches for 45 yards with a nine-yard TD reception in Saturday's preseason game against the Bills. Analysis: We like Gresham's upside and it appears as though he'll open the season as the Bengals' top tight end, but it's been ages since the team has had a fantasy-worthy TE, so we'd like to see him enjoy some regular season success before recommending him as a weekly lineup option.

The experts have been picking on this guy since he has been drafted by the Bengals. Even this article has a bit of a scoff at the end. The Bengals don't don't even know what a TE is, this guy is nothing. But at least now they are saying he might become playable.

So don't let the experts fool you, listen to me, I have been grabbing Gresham in every draft as a second and even third TE and I am Happy. :)

I read a report before the NFL draft where a well respected scout called Gresham a top 5 receiver in this draft. Not top TE.... top 5 receiver. Get yourself a top TE and when it comes to a backup, get this guy, Just Saying.

I agree with ya norm, watched him closely this preseason and he's the real deal! Opens up the middle of the field and will be a nice big target in the redzone which Palmer likes. He does a lot of the things that TJ Housh did in Cincy, he just does it from the TE spot. This is a high upside TE who makes a great back up. He's a rookie, so don't expect the moon, but this is a guy who will be in the group before long.

When I saw the Bengals they actually were sending him out to run pattens and stuff........Like I said grab a starting TE and then grab Gresham.

He will be good enough to play weekly matchups with if you keep up with the news during the week. There are always these little news blubs like: Such and such Your TE here may have a tough week this week as opposing defense here is the #2 defense at stopping TE production in the league this year. So when this happens use Gresham. Gresham may not outproduce your top TE but there may be 3-4 weeks when he will be the better play than your top producer along with covering your bye week. Or grab a gresham/cooley combo late and play weekly matchups all year.

He's looked solid so far. He slipped through my fingers in a couple drafts so far. But I just grabbed him in another.

Buyer beware here. I am still not on the Gresham wagon. Why? Bengals specifically targeted Owens and Gresham and Shipley in the preseason to see how they do. There is no indication that they have changed thier standard M.O. on this. In fact there was a recent article from the local paper that says the OC changed nothing on the play book this year.

Net, Gresham may have a solid game..maybe two. But good luck figuring out when.

And lets again keep in mind he did this against the worst team in football.
