Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall

So what does everyone think of this duo? When they were together the last time they were together Marshall has 101 rec 1120 yds and 10 TD's. This was his 3rd straight year over 100 receptions. Cutler had 4,526 yds and 25 TD's. This was his career high in yds.

They are now re-united in Chicago, can they reclaim the magic they had in Denver? What is everyone expecting from them this year? Can Cutler be a steady starter for your fantasy team? Can Marshall crack back into the top 10 WR's where he was a mainstay for a few years?

Not usually optimistic regarding the Bears but... this is gonna be huge. First real offense EVER.

The "O" Line still needs to block better but I'm expecting a much improved Cutler and a decent year from Marshall.

I think Mud is being nice.

No change in Chicago except now they won't even have Forte as a fantasy stud.

Marshall is a #2 WR at best and Cutler is, once again, the reason you're sniffing the wire for a QB.

I'm in Gizzil's corner. Gone are the Martz long-developing routes and that will help the line. Bush can do a nice job until Forte comes in. And that leaves Cutler and Marshall, who did put up decent numbers considering the shaky QBs Miami had been trotting out.

I'm kinda middle of the road on both of these. I love Cutler as my b/u QB target, would not be comfortable with him as a starter. He has upside and I know he can put up great numbers with Marshall......just need to see it in Chicago before I go hog wild.

Marshall I would be a little more optimistic on, but I still don't want him as my #1. a WR2 with a strong WR1, I could handle that.

I may have cutler as a starter In a league I wait for qbs and back him up with another qb in the next round or 2. This worked well in one league last year where oneness up with Eli and stafford.

I'm buying. Word is they want to exploit Marshall's YAC ability. I see/hope Marshall as a top 10 WR.

Gone are Mike Martz seven step drops into the pocket. New OC Mike Tice says the object of the O this year will be to get the ball out of Cutlers hands as quickly as possible. This should help a lot as the O-line hasn't really been improved.

I wholeheartedly agree that a martz-less offensive scheme may be the biggest upgrade on the offense this year... All that garbage is gone, probably from the NFL forever

I'm with RC on this one. I look for Marshall to possibly be a top ten WR this year. I would be comfortable drafting Marshall 4th-5th round in a redraft.

Ugh.

I am in such disagreement with youse guys.

Brandon Marshall - FINISHED

Vincent Jackson - FINISHED

Reggie Wayne - FINISHED

Pierre Garcon - FINISHED

Larry Fitzgerald - DIMINISHED

Duane Bowe - DIMINISHED

Desean Jackson - DIMINISHED

Rather than praying these "seen their best" WRs will regain their ELITE status, we need to try and figure out who the next generation will be will be.

Love the comments, agree with some, disagree with others....added my feelings on them below.

Brandon Marshall - FINISHED - Explain what you mean by finished? As in not fantasy relevant? 28 yrs old and still had 1200+ yds and 6 rec last yr. You think he goes down from that to finished at that age?

Vincent Jackson - FINISHED - Again, finished? 29 yrs old and coming off a 9 TD season. However.....I do see a reduction here. Just not in the offense he was in TB. Not that I think his talent is gone, but the situation is worse. But Diminished is more what i think you will see.....he'll still show some flashes and be worth a roster spot.

Reggie Wayne - FINISHED - Agree

Pierre Garcon - FINISHED - Was never Elite to begin with. Never a 1000 yd season and never more than 6 TD's.

Larry Fitzgerald - DIMINISHED - Strong disagreement here. Still one of the best WR's in the league. Coming off of 1400+ yd performance I think your seeing a resurgance not seeing him become diminished. Fitz is still Elite.

Duane Bowe - DIMINISHED - 2010 TD numbers were an anomaly. He's an 80 catch, 1100, 6 TD guy. Don't think that will change, but don't think he is anything more either.

Desean Jackson - DIMINISHED - Another disagreement. He's never lived up to the potential he has....BUT he's only 25 yrs old! His best is still in front of him IMO. I think his head is back where it needs to be and he's looking at a career year in 2012.

Rather than praying these "seen their best" WRs will regain their ELITE status, we need to try and figure out who the next generation will be will be.

Finished as a #1 fantasy WR not finished as in career over. It has more to do with situations than age and talent.

That makes more sense.....but I would argue that some on that list were never really #1 fantasy WR's. Outside of Marshall, Wayne and Fitz none have been more than a flash on the WR1 lists.
