Javon Walker Cut By Vikings

Making some room for TJ???

Vikings released WR Javon Walker.
Walker showed well in the preseason with a pair of touchdowns and over 100 combined yards in two games, so he might have put enough on tape to get another team to bite. Unfortunately for him, the Vikings deemed Greg Camarillo a superior option in the possession role they'd been seeking to upgrade. Minnesota will keep just four receivers on the roster, confirming the medical staff's confidence that Percy Harvin's migraines will not recur. Sep. 4 - 4:51 pm et

This is getting harder to figure. It does seem like a move towards getting Housh. But then dumping Housh seemed like a precursor towards getting VJax and so far nothing has happened. Part of the question is how much of a void is created by Walkers departure?

Now someone tell me, how much, if anything, did the Vikes pay for the brief Walker experiment?

Still doesnt answer my question lol. Its not just him, I saw one of the transactions where a guy was traded from one team to another team, and then the team that traded for him waived him a day later.

Do they get paid for things like this? What did Javon make...like $50?

The Vikings paid for school supplies for 2 of Javon's children that he didn't even know he had for those pre-season games.

Had he played regular season games they would have eventually started paying for the hot lunches for the children he actually knows he has.

There also is a chance Walker could return after a brief hiatus. If he had been on the opening-night roster, his salary of $755,000 would have been guaranteed for the season. If he is re-signed next week, he would be paid on a week-to-week basis.

This is the only number I can find associated with Walker's recent roster transactions.
