Chicago needs a legitimate wide receiver. Any of those will improve Cutler.

Which of those are legitimate? Jones gets hurt alot, so does Floyd. Sims-Walker is too inconsistant.

They would be much, much better served with a Steve Smith Car, T.O. or trade for Ocho.

Cutler doesn't neeed a head case and that's all these three bring at this point. Not so much with Steve Smith, but they have two guys just like him right now as far as size and speed go. Wouldn't touch TO or the Cowboy period.

All those are better than what Cutler has right now.

Really? Folks this is the NFL, do you really think a team of the NFL will let players with real shots at constant contributing go....when they won't make that much money?

James Jones and Malcolm Floyd are leaving pass oriented teams. With aging vets, or vets that are about to leave via FA...if they were really that good...would you let them go? No.

Sims-Walker can't find his shoes some games.

I don't know if any of them are better than what Chicago has.

Steve Smith = head case yes. But he has more speed and talent than anyone currently on the roster...same for Ocho. As for T.O. As much as I have bashed him in the past, all he damn well does is paly well.

Steve Smith as a trade option is a 7 million dollar WR so something would have to change in that regard. Not quite as cheap as the others mentioned.

Yep, and Ocho is $6million I believe if he is traded for. So both would be pricey.

Jones could have some nice upside with the Bears. Of the three mentioned in the original article I like him best there. His upside could very well depend on the team he ends up with. Niners? To the Jags to fill the Sims Walker void, Cerberus?

Why? Its not like they are cap strapped, as there is no cap. I have seen reports with Owens name....

Bears | Could have interest in Chad Ochocinco Mon May 16, 02:57 PM The Chicago Bears could have interest in Cincinnati Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco if he is released this offseason.
Our view: The Bears want to add a big wide receiver via trade or free agency, so we're not sure Ochocinco is the correct fit. A player like Mike Sims-Walker or Sidney Rice would seem to make more sense.

I posted this and simply hope James Jones gets a shot. Hopefully it's okay that I hope that. That is why I posted it.

No, I understand, and maybe in a with a new chance Jones finally can become consistant. To be clear, I wasn't questioning your post against you, I was just raising the question where some felt he would solve all their issues. Not if he continues the way he has in the past he won't.

Uh Oh, tread is coming close to being derailed and turning into an Ochocinco thread.........

After a recent bull-riding episode, NFL Network's Mike Lombardi believes that Chad Ochocinco has "gone off the deep end." Lombardi believes Ocho's decline began in the 2010 playoffs, when the now 33-year-old was manhandled "easily and convincingly" by Darrelle Revis. Ocho "then spent his offseason not on football," Lombardi explains, and "lost his edge" while focusing on soccer, Twitter, dancing, bull riding, name changes, and reality shows. Lombardi says Ocho can't get open unless the offensive scheme frees him up, and suggests he may struggle to find a new team after being released.

LOL, I agree RC!!

OK, After doing that I feel I must try and get this back on track.

Of the 3 initially mentioned in the article, WR Mike Sims-Walker, San Diego Chargers impending free-agent WR Malcom Floyd and Green Bay Packers impending free-agent WR James Jones, I like Jones best. The Packers have had a logjam of talent at the #3 WR which is why they may let Jones move on. All of the Packers #3 WR shave performed well and compete heavily for time on the field. The fact that all #3s perform well also means that any of the #3s that is slightly dinged they won't see the field at all. So Jones may not be as injury prone as it seems on the surface. If he were a full time starter on another team that team would more likely want him on the field as much as possible, slightly dinged up or not vs on the bench with the slightest ding with the Packers.

Hmmm..... How about James Jones, Detroit Lion, has a nice ring.
