Jake and the Browns

When in Carolina he went from good to bad like turning on & off a light switch and it got into his psyche like a bad dream.

If the Browns goes to a true "West Coast" scheme J.Delhomme good possibly be a valuable asset in Cleveland.

His "Tommy John" shoulder surgery seems to have limited his arm strength, keep his down field throws to a minimum as he tends to force his throws into traffic, get him to throw underneath a bit more.

If he is used like Gruden used Rich Gannon in Oakland i see him having a productive season.

Only time will tell 007 and I certainly wish the Louisiana young man the best but I felt that he should have called it a career and came home. We could have used his help cleaning up the oil spill or something. Most Saints fans still have fond memories of Jake and still regret the Saints allowing the local boy to leave town.

Less snaps for Jake?

rotoworld,
Coach Eric Mangini plans to incorporate both Seneca Wallace and Jake Delhomme into his game plans this season.

As if the Browns quarterback position wasn't enough of a fantasy afterthought, now there's a chance they could split time during games. The Browns have also installed "Cyclone" packages with Wallace and Josh Cribbs in the game together. We don't blame Mangini for creatively seeking avenues to keep Delhomme on the bench.

Splitting times between QBs is just another way to say you have no faith in 1 QB. And no team has ever had a winning season by rotating their QBs. Pick 1 and stick with him barring a complete disaster or injury. Oh wait this is Cleveland we're talking about. No matter they do this season, it will be a failure....AGAIN.

rotoworld,
Browns coach Eric Mangini isn't quite ready to name Jake Delhomme the starting quarterback heading into training camp.

"We're heading in that direction," said Mangini. "We'll head into training camp and see how it goes." Seneca Wallace will also get work with the first-team offense in training camp, so he'll have a chance to capitalize if Delhomme implodes. There's a good chance that Delhomme will give up the job in the first half of the season even if he holds off Wallace in August.

Wont matter who Mangini starts his days are all but over in Cleveland.

But in all honesty i think Delhomme give the Browns the best chance to win over S.Wallace, which isn't saying much

rotoworld,
The Canton Repository is "99 percent sure" that Jake Delhomme is "The Man" at quarterback for the Browns.

The beat writers are outraged that coach Eric Mangini refused to name Delhomme the starter after the uncertainty at quarterback last season. By all accounts, Delhomme outplayed Seneca Wallace in spring practices. Mangini is wise to make the declining veteran prove it again with pads on in August.

(KFFL) The Cleveland Browns coaching staff has been very pleased with the play of QB Jake Delhomme during the offseason, reports Terry Pluto, of The Cleveland Plain Dealer. Delhomme has picked up the offense quickly and has not made many poor throws during offseason workouts. Delhomme is expected to enter training camp as the team's No. 1 quarterback.
