Jason Cole, of Yahoo! Sports, reports New York Giants general manager Jerry Reese said he believes RB Brandon Jacobs will get more carries this season despite the other running backs on the roster.
Our view: 'We have depth at that position that we like ... but I would think Brandon will get some more carries, especially if he can stay healthy,' Reese said. More carries for Jacobs would be great, but can the big back stay injury free with a heavier workload? The Giants will likely keep Jacobs fresh by rotating in Ahmad Bradshaw, Andre Brown and/or Danny Ware.

  • Yahoo Sports reports New York Giants RB Brandon Jacobs' workload is expected to increase due to the free agent loss of RB Derrick Ward according to GM Jerry Reese. "I would think Brandon will get some more carries, especially if he can stay healthy," Reese said. RB Ahmad Bradshaw is poised to take over Ward's role in the offense, but Jacobs' carries could increase by 20.
