"Owner Jim Irsay tweeted Thursday that "serious trade winds are swirling" with the Colts willing to give up a high pick for a "serious vet/starter."
It's unlikely the Jaguars would trade Maurice Jones-Drew within the division, but unsigned restricted free agent Mike Wallace makes a lot of sense with Austin Collie's (concussion) status up in the air and former Steelers coordinator Bruce Arians now calling the plays in Indy. Irsay concedes these types of deals "often crumble and don't reach completion," but assures Colts fans that GM Ryan Grigson "isn't afraid to roll the dice" and aggressively improve the roster. "My checkbook stands ready," adds Irsay."

I don't think that Kahn would trade MJD in the division either, but I feel Wallace does sign as expected this weekend. Any thoughts on who it might be, or just a smoke screen from an owner who LOVES to tweet?

The thought of the Jags not trading MJD within the division is plain foolish, or should be anyway. They suck and are rebuilding. They should trade him to the team willing to give the most regardless of division.

I think seeing how good Luck is already has changed his mindset. I like it...............

yeah, other than not wanting to deal with having him come back to Jacksonville every year I don't think it matters where they trade him. By the time they are decent.....MJD will be retired.

Exactly!

What a great place to neutralize your franchise RB. Send him to Indy for the big payoff.

RC would then have a legitimate #1 RB in sofflII too.

I agree, WR with Collie injury is probably more pressing, or OT.

To use the term "rebuilding" i think there has to be a light at the end of the tunnel... there's no light in jacksonville. Finally i thought I was done with loudmouth colt fans. Ugh

Read that there were some rumors that it was Welker...but it's not likely. No one can work out a long term deal with the guys under a 1 year FT at this point until after the season. This would seem to take guys like Welker and Bowe off of the list as I doubt your giving up a high pick for anyone if your not sure you will have them around after this season.
