Is it time for the Alex Smith era to end?

SF was a team on the rise.......the hot NFC west pick this year.....but it appears that Smith will once again hold this team back. Do they need to move on and see if they can get a spark somewhere else?

the answer is Yes. Unfortunately, they got nowhere to go till this next draft. Meanwhile, Hill is lighting up the offense in Detroit.

Interesting. Wonder how this will effect the offense in the short term. Hope it breathes some value into Crabtree.

The "era" of Alex Smith just has a bad ring to it.......................:sadbanana:

Since they have no better option and still have a decent chance at the playoffs because of the division they are in (still play Seattle, Rams and Cards twice), I say stick with him. I honestly think Nate Davis is the best QB on the team. Carr would only make it worse.

I was hoping against hope that Smith would come around this year, but I never really believed. I had advocated them picking up Vick last year and McNabb this year. Of course I also advocated them taking Rodgers instead of Smith, so what do I know.

Maybe they lulled the Falcons into a false sense of security and can jump out quick and pull the upset...........................:xpopcorn:

Run, Frank, run...............................

Whats going to change with firing Raye? They are gonig to run the same offense. If Smith cant execute it, wont matter who is calling plays.

Yes, its time to trade him to Philly for Kevin Kolb.

The Alex Smith era needs to end. If you are that bad when you have Crabtree, Vernon Davis, and Frank Gore then there is no hope for you.

I would like to see them give Nate Davis a shot. He was a stud at Ball State and I think he would do well as the starter. It would hard for him to be any worse.
