What is different is the defense can PLAY!! This defense has an attitude and finally can rush the passer, Odom is a beast. Jonathan Joseph has quietly turned into one of the premier shutdown corners in the league and the LB's have a flare to them.
With the defense playing the way they are the offense has had some time to grow into their own skin. They have not been perfect, but they have been CLUTCH! Carson Palmer has let a game winning drive in each win this year. Add to that, he led what everyone thought was going to be another game winning drive against Denver before the immaculate deflection. Then add the game tying drive against Cleveland last week that should have won the game if not for a blocked xp. So that is 6 game changing end of the game drives in 5 weeks!! Amazing! Not to mention he did this last one with a bummed hand that he could not even hand the ball off with!
They are also running the ball very well. Benson has turned into a must start, he is running on Pittsburgh, Baltimore, it just doesn't matter.
Confidence is a scary thing, and they have it right now. This team will be in the mix all year.

Its amazing what a real DC will do for a team. That and some very young and hungry players. The fact the defense has basically been rebuilt in the last three years....:wow: I love the future of this linebacking core with Rivers and Mauluga...man! Young corners are stepping up as well.
But the key is the pressure. the more pressure you apply the better the corner ends up looking

Let's never discount the affect of a Pro Bowl Qb with a running game! I think this also justifies/highlights the Bronco defense to an extent. Many wanted to discount their first 3 opponents offensively. Now it looks as if they hung with a pretty good team for 4 qtrs,.......then stole it!
