Interesting trade offer

After rejecting countless trade offers so far this season I finally got one worth thinking about.

I get: Tom Brady, Eddie Royal and Michael Turner

I give up: Rashard Mendenhall and Steve Smith(Car)

My other backs/receivers:
A. Boldin Chris Johnson
W. Welker Peyton Hillis
Dez Bryant DeAngelo Williams
Donald Driver Marion Barber

My QBs:
Eli
Cutler
Matt Cassel

I've just been going with the best matchup regarding the QBs and have been faring pretty well, but I'd be happier with Brady.

What say you?

I'd pass. Not so sure a Mossless Brady is going to be any better than Eli/Culter. You are losing too much on the RB/WR part of this deal.

I agree....valuewise it's definitely a solid offer, but look at it this way...

You've been playing matchup at QB, but you're doing it with solid guys for the most part. Brady is a slight upgrade, I'd say that much, but it's not going to be teamchanging.

It's helpful this time of year to look down the line at what you're looking at.

QB - Cassel has a great 4 game stretch coming up vs some weak pass D's. Between that, Eli and Cutler give you more than enough depth.
RB - CJ2K and Mendy? Not even worth touching IMO. Your top 2 backs should be close to tops in your league.
WR - It's not top level, but Boldin/Bryant/Welker are solid.

If it were my team, I'm waiting to find a team that needs help, and I'm looking to package up guys like Hillis, S.Smith, Driver, maybe even Cutler. I'm looking to take solid bench depth, and turn it into an upgrade. This is a season where you can grab WW guys anytime. I'm looking for a Colston, a R. White, an Austin. Good luck!

Hell no! Mendenhall to me is worth more then the 3 people your getting back!
I pass too.

If you could get a Miles or White, I would go for them. Not even sure why Colston is even mentioned in the same sentence as those two though, pass on him as well.

But on a side note, I may consider moving Mendy if I were you though. You have Hillis on your bench, I am buying on him, and you have DeAngelo as a backup already. I may consider moving Mendy because you could probably get a huge upgrade at WR and QB at the same time given Mendy's value, and the drop from him to Hillis is not too bad.

Not even sure why Colston is even mentioned in the same sentence as those two though, pass on him as well.

I lead with Colston for the exact reason you're passing on him, in a way. People are DOWN on him because he's not scored a TD yet. IMO, this is a terrible reason to discount him. He leads the team in rec, yds, and really the most critical stat for me, TARGETS! He's still the #1 look in the redzone, it just so happens that the Saints are getting a lot of long TD's. This, like anything else, will trend back. Chances are, your league's Colston owner is frustrated with him, which means he can probably be had cheaper than a White/Austin. Buy low, isn't that the name of the game????
