IF Detroit were to...

sign Anthony Hargrove would that mean they go with Okung as their 1st pick?

Saints DT Anthony Hargrove will visit Lions | freep.com | Detroit Free Press

I know it is just a visit and a little premature to be speculating on the what if's but...

When I first say the article I thought Hargrove was older than 26 (seems he has been with to many teams to not be closer to 30

Did not know about him having played TE, special teams...

Is his suspension history still a valid concern having made it through 1 season without any problems?

If they sign him, I would think they would go Okung with the first pick. Maybe trade down to get him for a cheaper price since the teams after Detroit would love to get Suh or McCoy.

a little off topic:

Though Matthew Stafford (knee, shoulder) is not yet running during Lions workouts, he is throwing at full speed this week. Analysis: More impressively, the 22-year-old revealed that the Lions front office has been bouncing ideas off him for personnel moves this offseason. Expected to be fully healthy for OTAs, Stafford is already developing into a team leader.

If Suh falls to the 2nd spot there is a dumbass involved, but that is just my opinion. If he falls beyond that......words can't explain.

I like how they are building that defensive line.

I like the moves as well but IF Hargrove is signed I am still reluctant to pass on a player like Suh or McCoy. Talk about improving a weakness into a team strength quick this would do it. You also would have a nice mix of youth and experience so it is not a patchwork type of scenario and you have players to help keep the relics fresh going into the 4th.

He could realistically be there at 3, but won't fall any farther. And that's only due to the fact that the Rams at some point turned their attention to Bradford after reading everywhere about how they should, and the fact that after the hype of the Big-12 title game wore off, people started realizing (Again) that Gerald McCoy's pretty darn good, too.

Nebraska DT Ndamukong Suh is scheduled to visit with the Lions on Thursday. The Lions have already hosted Oklahoma State LT Russell Okung, and Oklahoma DT Gerald McCoy of Oklahoma was scheduled to visit Wednesday. Suh will not work out for the Lions but will schedule personal workouts closer to the draft. The Lions appear to be deciding between Suh and Okung.
