I have been chosen to be the new commissioner of my 12 team Money league. I am thinking of changing the payout. Its 60 dollars a person.
Its two 6 team divisions with the top 3 of each going to the playoffs. First week bye for the top teams from each division. Heres the payout.

1st 420$
2nd 120$
3rd 60$

Bonus:

Bonus Bowl Game 30$ - (The winner of the top 2 teams from each division during their bye week)

Best Record 30$ - (Regular Season Only)

Most Points Scored Total 30$ - (Regular Season Only)

Most Points in a Single Week 30$ - (Any team including Playoffs and Regular Season)

I want to do it this way so every team even if they dont make the playoffs will have something to play for all season. What do yall think any advise?
 
In my money league we have $$ each week for the weeks top scoring team and last year we also introduced a prize for top scoring position.

Example- at our draft we put all positions in a hat QB, RB, WR/TE (changed them to the same when teams that were out started playing all TE's to win $$ and basically throwing the game) K, and DEF. We randomly select a position for each week Week 1 QB, Week 2 RB..... for the entire season and the team that has the top scoring player for that position in their starting lineup wins the bonus cash. I think it was $10 for top overall score for the week and $10 for top player. Enough that over the course of a season it can add up to decent amt. for the year and a fun little twist imo.
 
I do like tossing in the mt pts in a single week.

A couple things I don't like: the bonus Bowl game....get rid of it IMO and add the money to the winners or heck, you want to keep everyone involved, run a consolation bracket and give the winner of that $30. Will keep the non-playoff teams trying to improve their squads. Also not sure you need to give $$ to both pts scored and the top reg season record. Maybe just the total pts champ.

I like the idea of a consolation tourney to keep owners in the game. I'd say $30 for consolation winner, $30 for total reg season pts and $30 for best record.
 
Does anyone else think I need to get rid of the Bonus Bowl? I kinda like it but is most people think I should get rid of it then I will. Might run a consulation bracket instead.

I'm not a big fan of the Bonus Bowl. Incorporating something for the lower bracket of teams I think will go farther insuring their full participation than the weekly awards (taking it that since they are in the lower half they are less likely to garner the best score... any given week much less over the course of the season).

You have some good ideas and I would suspect they will be welcomed changes.
 
Ok will probably run a consulation bracket instead. I put the Highest points scored total and best record in there because If you are kicking butt the whole season and have a bad 1st week in the playoffs and lose. You will still be able to get your money back.
