How high would you draft one of the top TE's?

So how high of a pick do you spend on Gronk or Graham this season? 12 team draft, you can be guaranteed to get the TE of your choice if you bid the highest pick, what pick will you give up for him?

They are currently both going mid to late 2nd, would you go even higher?

I'd go as early as third round for those two, but would prefer to take Gates a little later if possible.

I like the move if you have say a top three pick and get one of the stud RBs in the first to follow it up with Gronk or Graham in the late 2nd.

I have consistently taken a Te in the 3rd and 4th rounds in IBL the last two years. I would go high 3rd round, but I can't see 2nd, as I look to go two stud Wrs usually first. I can always wait and try and nab Witten or Gates later.

It is worth noting that in a TE mandatory ppr league the dropoff between Gronk/Graham and the rest of the field is 5 pts/gm when you get to Gates and then 8 pts a game after that Witten/Hernandez..... WR's are much more even so grabbing Gronk/Graham gives a sizeable advantage.

With the majority as well here. TE's seem to come out of the woodwork. They very rarely work out the way you draft them. It's the ones you just draft farther in the draft that make the biggest gains. What was Gronk's average draft position last season. Case in point. I like to get a "sure" thing as in a little consistency 6th or later and then pick up an unpolished gem later on off waivers. Last season I picked V. Davis 6th RD last season and got F. Davis off waivers 3rd week and basically stuck with him throughout the season. If you picked up one in the second rd and he put up numbers like Gronk.. well then you kinda just hit the lottery

I wouldn't go any higher than a 3rd, but would rather go with a V Davis/Finley type later in the draft...

I think that both gronk and Graham will drop in production this season for different reasons. I will wait to grab some other te later. Keller has been due for three years plus.

Chris is dead on here, last year, there was no bigger advantages for any FF team than the teams with Gronk and Graham. If you think they can repeat, then their value is measurable with any second round pick you are going to make. The question becomes can they repeat it.

I like Graham's chances better if Brees comes back. He does not have near the competition for the ball as Gronk does.

PhiCin is spot on here in that of the two I'd target Graham IF I were willing to spen a second on a TE, which I'm not.

no one has solved the Gronk riddle yet, what makes you all think the league has him figured out now? Just not sure why we would think he suddenly slows down after what we saw last year.

Well, lets visit this. then.
1) Hernandez is there, and in their first year together, they hindered each other. Hernandez was hurt early last year I believe....so that dropped his usage.
2) Gronk is coming back from a major ankle issue. It hopefully does not effect his work this year.......but....
3) N.E. went on a tear to get Wrs. Including the new OC's pet.
4) The OC has changed, and I am not sure he has the same love for TE as the previous.

Not saying he will fall off the earth, he is too much a tool to do that, but I do see some very good chances of dropping.
