Heyward-Bey Sidelined at Raider Practice

Despite it's name, the Chronicle covers both teams pretty evenly, so doubt he was trying to stir any controversy. Looks like it's a simple fact that he reported on a slow sports day.......

HeyBey I think is one of the most over blown talents in the 2009 draft, but that really has nothing to do with this particular story.

DHB dropped 4 straight passes and then left with a hammy injury. I thought he was the second coming of Troy Williamson, but he could be the next Stallworth.

When the incident happened on May 9th, the news was 4 straight that I got from sirius on the day it happened. When the information was rewritten now by people in June, somehow they messed up DHB's incompetance to catch catchable passes. Or the reporter who said three, missed the first one. I'll stay with the original report because 4 is funnier then three, although three is funny too. It's practice... if you can't catch a pass in shorts, forget about the pressure of a game.

Imagine your at work... what ever you do to earn that stuff that makes the world go around. If you screwed up the specific task your paid to do three or four times in a row, what do you think management would think of you. (long pause) That's probably what they think of their 1st round pick.

  • San Francisco Chronicle's David White reports Oakland Raiders first round draft pick WR Darrius Heyward-Bey (right hamstring strain) returned to practice on Wednesday. Heyward-Bey was able to run without any apparent problems. During seven-on-seven drills, a QB JaMarcus Russell pass intended for Heyward-Bey was broken up from behind by CB Chris Johnson. Later, Heyward-Bey caught a QB Bruce Gradkowski pass in zone coverage.

DHB was back at practice, but pulled something again the other day. Looks like he is the second coming of D.Stallworth.

Welcome to my do not draft list DHB
