Here's A Tricky Question.

I don't think I've ever run across this here. I know the correct answer (I think) but because it's so unusual I thought I'd throw it up to you all.

Here's the deal:

There is a player that I am anxious to get in the draft but in all likelihood the current owner will keep him.

I think I have enough talent left in my throw-away bin to trade for him to get him on my team but I would not be able to keep him. I already have my 4 keepers.

Would you make a trade for a guy with the intent to throw him away and get him back in the draft?

I'm pretty certain he will be available to me with my 15th overall pick but there is no guarantee. 15th overall is a little high to pay for the guy but he will never fall to 39th...my next pick.

Of course, asking this question here greatly reduces the chances of my plan working since half the league reads this. :sadbanana:

Go for it Tekie. You'll need all the help you can get when CJ sits out, Gore breaks a leg, D Jackson gets arrested, and S Greene gets run over by the team bus.

I see no issues with this. In the end, your not dealing anything that is of value to you and if you think it will help you end up with him in the end I see it as a good move.

:cunning: You sure you will be able to grab this player in question? I've been known to make moves out of spite.

 :headscratch: :dunno: :koolaid:

And making the trade, then dropping the player in question will alert the other half of the league. Be careful, it could turn into a hostage situation.

I went ahead and made the offer. I figure the worst that happens is I don't get him and I padded another teams roster a little bit. They aren't one of the best teams so no real harm.

After looking, though, I'm not sure I have enough to coax the trade. Boils down to Moreno and his worth.
