This is the guy for the Redskins. Can he take on a full time feature RB role? I think so. This guy has the moves and the hands to be very dangerous out of the backfield. I think with the off-season changes in the Redskins offense with a new QB which will make for a faster offense, this only makes it more possible that Helu could have a Roger Craig type season. Don't get me wrong in that I am not comparing Helu to Craig but there are some similarities to their styles. I just hope Shanny does fudge things up for this guy.

Well the downside is Shanahan's RB philosophy and league-wide RBBC.
But the downside creates an upside in the form of draft value.

The potential return for where he's drafted makes him appealing to me. I'd try to land Royster late if I ended up with him, though.

I feel that Helu is a hail of a talent and hate the fact that Shanny is his coach. Shanny could screw this RB and thusly your fantasy team up in a hurry and it's a heck of a gamble to count on Helu as much more than a 3 with a ton of upside.

Ah, once again we can discuss the Dark side of the Force which is Shannahan! Beware all you young Padawan's(meaning Rbs in Washington....), he will make you, break you, and leave all of us in fantasyland screaming his name!!

i love what Helu has shown, but since Davis, Shannahan does not want to commit to one Rb. He must still feel jilted? :dunno:

now now. Since Davis, health of the running backs have played a bigger factor than a lack of commitment.

Hightower was just re-signed, and they drafted a few more backs as well. I had high hoped for Helu for selfish reasons, but have to agree that taking him anywhere before the 7th or 8th round feels like too much risk for me.

From all reports, Hightower was signed to take over. So.....Helu's value just tanked IMO.

Never and I MEAN NEVER trust a Shanny RB. If you draft Helu as anything more than a 4th RB you will be disappointed.
