Hasselbeck out, Fitzpatrick in?

Titans say so long to Hasselbeck. Great guy but time to hang up the laces. I think he will be to spendy for most teams as a backup and from here out and thats all he could hope to be. Fitzpatrick met with the Titans but haven't heard much else. Maybe a good thing to have a decent back up.Guess that would be a good fit seeing as how Locker has struggled to live up to expectations. Still think Fitz could be a starter somewhere in the league but chances are looking slim so maybe this is the best thing for him.

Fitz does sign a 2 year deal with the Titans. Great move by the way. Hasselbeck gets two year deal with colts. With a stud like Luck you don't need the greatest insurance but this is a win-win for all parties involved imo

This is another by product of the rookie salary cap. If you don't have to sink a small fortune in your rookie QB you can spend a little more on a backup QB if the rookie doesn't pan out or takes awhile to develop.

Hmm, woulda thought that Arizona might have peaked at Hasselback at least a little. I fully agree though that both signings make sense.
