The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the Redskins have settled on former Saints and Rams coach Jim Haslett as the new defensive coordinator.

The Newark Star-Ledger seconds the report. After coaching with the Rams for three seasons, Haslett spent 2009 leading the UFL runner-up Florida Tuskers. When Mike Zimmer opted to stay in Cincinnati, Haslett immediately became the favorite in D.C. 'Skins coach Mike Shanahan is believed to have his mind set on a 3-4 defense, and Haslett is well versed in the system after running it in Pittsburgh in the late 90s. Jan. 12 - 9:27 pm et

Our defense wasn't that bad this year. I hope he can improve them. We definitely need to shore up the defensive line.

Ok....so now we are going to bank on Albert Haynesworth playing the nose?

Haslett has also used the 4-3 so I wouldn't worry much about Haynesworth. That d will definitely be aggressive and likely fantasy-relevant. Hello late round pick investment.
