I have always thought this was the dumbest rule and worked counter to its original intent. I never understood how anyone could think that it would increase interest in the local team if you prevented the local viewing market from seeing the product play.
'Cause the only thing that would make me more interested in my local football team is not ever seeing them play on TV!
