Panthers' Smith likely to play

News: The Charlotte Observer reports that Panthers WR Steve Smith (ribs) will play in Week 12 at the Jets.
Analysis: This injury popped up late in the week, so there was a little bit of concern on Saturday about Smith's chances of giving it a go at the Meadowlands. It looks safe to start Smith in all formats as a low-end No. 2 Fantasy WR.

Report: Benson to play vs. Browns

Cedric Benson, RB CIN
News: According to NFL.com, Bengals RB Cedric Benson (hip) is expected to play Sunday against Cleveland. Benson sat out last week's loss to the Raiders and was replaced by rookie Bernard Scott. Benson was limited in practice most of the week and listed as questionable, but coach Marvin Lewis on Friday said Benson is ready to play.
Analysis: If Benson does play as expected then he should be considered a No. 2 Fantasy RB against the lowly Browns. Scott would see his value lowered to a No. 3/flex option, and backups like Brian Leoanrd and Larry Johnson would not be worth using in the majority of leagues
 
Report: Turner to play Sunday

Michael Turner, RB ATL
News: According to NFL.com, Falcons RB Michael Turner, who has been dealing with a high ankle sprain, is expected to play against Tampa Bay on Sunday. Turner will test his ankle during warmups before the game, but he has shown enough progress during practice this week that he is likely to play. It is not known if he would start if he is active, but that most likely would be the case. Jason Snelling would start if Turner does not with Jerious Norwood also getting carries. Turner, who was injured in Week 10 at Carolina and missed the Week 11 game at the Giants, was officially listed as questionable.

News: The Cincinnati Bengals have made Cedric Benson (hip) inactive for Week 12 against Cleveland. He had been listed as questionable on the injury report and was considered a game-time decision. Bernard Scott started in his place.
 
The NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports Seattle Seahawks RB Julius Jones (chest) is out for the team's Week 12 matchup with the St. Louis Rams.
 
Adam Schefter, of ESPN, reports St. Louis Rams RB Steven Jackson (back) will play against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 12.
 
Dolphins using Backup Centre this week

A little less wildcat and more conventional O against Buffalo ??
DAVIE, Fla. -- Miami Dolphins starting center Jake Grove will miss Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills with an ankle injury.

Joe Berger will replace Grove. Berger will be making his first NFL start in his fifth season in the league and third with the Dolphins.
