49ers | New offense fits Gore better Thu Jun 11, 03:17 AM
Tom FitzGerald, of The San Francisco Chronicle, reports the San Francisco 49ers' offense under Jimmy Raye may allow RB Frank Gore to achieve his goal of being the best player on the field. 'With (offensive coordinator Mike) Martz, we were more finesse, throw the ball deep, get outside,' Gore said. 'This is more running with my shoulders squared up, a lot of power, a lot of downhill plays.' He said the team is trying to be physical. He is also delighted to be reunited with FB Moran Norris as his blocking back

I'm telling you. This could very well happen in 09. He has the talent and the drive to be, if not the best, among the top 3 in all of football. Pass on him at your own risk in 09...................:)

Tell es about what is transpiring at QB???? Sounds like Smith is do very well. What is Hill doing, coming out and giving him his do? Does he want to sit, and should he?

Word is that Smith "has looked better than he ever has". As a longtime Niner fan, I am skeptical. Smith played OK in 2006, but had the "deer in the headlight" look in 07-08. Hill on the other hand, doesn't have the pure talent, but has the intangibles. Quick reads, good instints. My money is on Hill to be the starter when all this plays out.........
