Disagree - he is depth, nothing more, I don't see him taking carries from Asiata or McKinnon. IF he was all that, he would not have been beaten out by a rookie and a bench player like Bipps in Denver.
 
Don't you figure $$$ had a lot to do with it?

Hillman averages 4.1 ypc over 450 carries. Asiata, 3.5 over 250 and Hillman has double the catches per game average.

Not sure how you can defend Asiata.

I don't have to defend Asiata, Minnesota loves Asiata, if they didn't they have had 2 years to replace him. McKinnon as well. Hillman is just bench protection. His ypc isn't as big as his injury history, and fumbling.
