Goants WR Victor Cruz could land a new deal.

New York Giants general manager Jerry Reese said he remains open to discussing a new deal for WR Victor Cruz, but cautioned that there is a long way to go before training camp and lots of decisions have to be made. Cruz had an out-of-nowhere breakout season with a whopping 1,536 yards, similar to how Miles Austin stormed the league three years ago. Jerry Jones signed Austin to a seven-year, $57 million extension and hasn't got the kind of return he hoped for. However, Austin "only" got $18 million guaranteed and when you look at it that way, the Giants could cut a similar deal with Cruz.

You have to give credit were credit is due and I'm not trying to slight Cruz, but without Nicks trafficking in double teams and other assorted schemes, those numbers just wouldn't be that high.
Then factor in Eli.

I'm not saying Cruz isn't the real deal. He is.
