Personally I like the guy. I had him targeted but I lost the dice roll by a couple picks.

Ive heard the Lions are working hard to incorporate this beast and his abilities into the new offense for Daunatt Cultafford or who ever is at QB.

Big size and speed, soft hands, and he can block.


Thoughts?

I like him a whole lot better if the rookie starts. He will make a GREAT hot read and security blanket for a young Qb to learn with. Culpepper just scares the livig daylights out of me. Which is why I am really down on Detroit players right now.

The only knock I can see is the fact this division features some of the finest LBs in the NFL. He is going to have to be spot on in his route running.

He has the tools and I love the fact that he should be on the field for every down. There should be lots of room for him to operate in with Calvin Johnson on the field. As a rookie I can't see him as a number 1 TE yet but if you carry a back up at that spot he should be fine. What round did he go in your draft?

For a dynasty league I love this kid.

He should start immediately and make an impact but his value is after he grows into the position and the team continues to improve.

Joined a league where I took over a team that I gutted and went with a heavy emphasis on youth hoping that they will develop. Petti was the #2 TE I targeted and was able to pick up. Not knowing when there is going to be a transition at QB and how much that will affect the team I am hoping he comes into his own next season.

Any production I get from him this year (other than a possible bye week fill) is just gravy.
