Giants WR Hakeem Nicks (knee), while not participating in practice, was seen running outside with trainers Wednesday, the New York Daily News reports. Nicks seemed to move well as he made cuts and was effective backpedaling. While it's concerning that he was unable to take part in drills with the team, the fact that he can now plant his foot with a lingering sore knee is generally a good sign that he'll be able to suit up Sunday at San Francisco. Continue to watch his status as the weekend approaches as unless there is an upturn heading into the weekend as it may turn out that he is active but not effective.
