Giants GM Jerry Reese laughed off speculation Monday that the team might cut ties with Brandon Jacobs because of his $4.65 million salary.The speculation began mostly because Jacobs himself expressed concern that he wouldn't return if the Giants re-signed free agent Ahmad Bradshaw. "You have to consider the source when Brandon starts talking," Reese said. "... We do expect Brandon to be part of the football team this fall. He is under contract." Jacobs averaged a sterling 5.60 YPC last season, confirming he's got plenty left in the tank. The Giants want to get him more carries this year.
