Hey now Fitz was the #11 fantasy QB back in 2011 working under OC Chan Gailey. No, your right, it's hopeless. Smith seemed to be having a good camp too.
Jets plan to hire a veteran QB to backup Fitz and rumor is that it'll be Michael Vick.

I actually think it's better for Decker and Marshall to have Fitzpatrick play.
If Geno misses a few games, Fitz plays well, I think it will be tough to put Geno in. It's not like Bowles drafted him.
Put Geno back in and he goes 1-2 and looks awful doing it, Jets fans will be cheering for Fitz

The story has it that Geno owed this bozo $600 for a plane ticket to this dudes football camp. Geno never showed up and was dragging his feet on paying this dude back.

Fantastic question. Maybe he's an entitled little baby and doesn't think he needs to move for anyone. Maybe he's a total tight wad and figured this dude would get cut anyways and he'd never see him again.
I think it would be funny if this injury was the event that supplanted him from being the Jets starter, he never found his way back to QB1 status in the league, and he washes out all because he didn't pay back $600.

Just a heads up, there is a story on PFT, that Bowles is also blaming Smith on this: "it takes two to tango, one to punch but two to tango" and implied Smith may have lost his chance at the starting QB job.
