General fantasy advice

I guess I'm posting this to remind myself and maybe get some feedback. I went against my standard advice in week 1 and it was costly. Here is my advice based on 25+ years of fantasy football. Don't overthink and never change your lineup at the last minute because of second thoughts!!!! This turns out to be a bad move over 90% of the time. You spend most of a week to set your lineup, getting opinions, checking prognosticators and frequently going with gut feelings in questionable cases. These are probably correct. I changed two positions at the last minute--both bad moves even though they seemed to make sense at the time.

There are ONLY two valid reasons for changing your lineup at the last minute: 1. Injury & 2. Weather. No other reasons are valid!

Other opinions?

Was one of those positions QB? (If it wasn't it should've been) That was probably the biggest differential in pts. I had this week. I hope you will come back in the future.

Another reason to rethink your line up is to analyze the Fan Factor (see Khris article) in your line up. Sometimes we under think a line up selection due to the Fan Factor and an objective second look may be warranted. At the last minute I switched my Michael Clayton for Dallas' Patrick Crayton and was 13+ points better for it, although previously I put all my eggs in the Bucs Defense rational.

Other than the Fan Factor, I agree with you. Injury and Weather.

Yes it was but I don't blame you. It was my stupidity that ran in Favre for Flacco.
