rotoworld,
Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said Friday that Joey Galloway is the top receiver on Washington's depth chart after an impressive offseason.

Chris Russell of ESPN 980 also passes along positive impressions of Galloway's offseason, going so far as to say he "earned" the starting job opposite Devin Thomas, as opposed to Thomas blowing it, as usual. While it's hard to have faith in Galloway's fantasy value, Thomas' is clearly in the gutter. Santana Moss and Chris Cooley are the Skins' pass catchers to target.

Wait I'm confused here. You said "he "earned" the starting job opposite Devin Thomas, as opposed to Thomas blowing it, as usual."

Wouldn't the starting job opposite of Devin Thomas be Santana Moss?

Are you saying Galloway has supplanted Moss as the starter? If so how is Moss still a targeted player?

Or are you saying Thomas has taken the starting job from Moss?
:hmmm:

I suspect the author meant to say that Galloway had earned the starting job "over" Thomas instead of "opposite."

There's no way Galloway passed Moss on the depth chart. Moss and Cooley are the only viable receivers (WR & TE) in Washington.
