Fred Jackson and beyond: other thoughts for 2010

Since the season is over except for playoff redrafts and the like, I would like to see what this august body thinks of some late surprises this year and how it translates into next year. I would encourage everyone to add their own and it should be an interesting thread.

For starters:
Out of nowhere comes Aromashodu as what now appears to be Cutler's go to guy. Is he going to play a similar role next year?

How about Gaffney last Sunday? He has proven to be a top receiver in the past and was a playoff beast for the Patriots a couple of years. He might be getting a little long in the tooth but he still knows how to play. What do you see as his prospects for 2010?

Let's have some fun. Throw in your own picks and question marks.

Will M Turner be a first round pick acroos the board next year? Still a top 6 pick? I have my doubts about remaining a top 6 pick but I do expect him to go in the first round.

Barring injury Tekie CJ will be gold next year as well. News flash, if they can't catch you they have a hard time injuring you.

All year the Bears have been going through receivers. For a while it was Hester, then it was Knox, then Bennett for a while, then the end of the season it was Aromashodu. But Hester was ailing and Knox was out. All the receivers are maturing. Hester will be the number 1 next year as he matures even more as a receiver.

Well, the Broncos were without their top 2 receivers. Someone had to step up. He has proven in the past that he is a viable receiver. But I don't think he is a number 1.

:yeahthat:

Gaffney has always been this type. He will have some breakouts when starters are hurt...but never is a top flight Wr on his own.
