Former Giants WR Plaxico Burress gets out of jail June 6

Plaxico Burress will be released from prison on June 6 after serving more than 20 months for, well, accidentally shooting himself in the leg at a Manhattan nightclub in November 2008. Plaxico may receive some interest but this may also be hampered by the lockout.

There has been a lot of Rumorish Chatter about Plax linking up with the Eagles. It turns out that this chatter is originating from Camp Plaxico.

You have to wonder about that. Vick his first year back wasn't stellar at all. You could see he had played before but had no real speed to display. The second year he came back conditioned and quick.

WR is a much easier position for him to come back to than QB was for Vick. No one will expect much more than a highly talented possession receiver out of Plax, and he will be able to match up pretty well against most of the guys who will cover him.

IMO Half the league at least is automatically ruled out, the dude is 34yrs old and hasn't played in 2 seasons.

It's going to be a lot harder for a 34 year old wide receiver than a lot of people think. If I were an NFL team I wouldn't have any interest.
