Black Monday has arrived and many coaches will be out of a job before this week is done.

First to be axed is Steve Spagnuolo by the St. Louis Rams, according to fox sports.

It's tough to win football games when your offensive line is decimated and your QB is injured. But the Rams really should have been better earlier in the year before all that happened.

Tampa Bay fired head coach Raheem Morris.
Bucs GM Mark Dominik will reportedly keep his job.

I find this ironic since Chucky is currently broadcasting a Bowl game from Raymond James as this news came across the wire. Hmmm...
(SO Buc fans, have fun with that conspiracy theory.. LOL)

rotoworld,

Colts fired president Bill Polian, GM Chris Polian, and their entire front office.
Jim Caldwell and his staff will likely also be moving on once owner Jim Irsay decides on new management.

rotoworld,

Colts owner Jim Irsay said Monday that coach Jim Caldwell's status with the club is "right now, under evaluation."
It sounds like Irsay will leave the Colts' coaching decision up to his next general manager. Irsay anticipates the front-office search lasting "multiple weeks," so Caldwell's job status may be in limbo all throughout that time. In all likelihood, Caldwell has spent his last game on the Colts' sideline. There's next to no chance that a new GM would want Caldwell or his staff back.

rotoworld,

SI's Peter King reports that Colts owner Jim Irsay views the payment of Peyton Manning's March 8 option bonus as a "family decision," unrelated to football or business.
Explained King on NBCSportsTalk, "It means to me that Jimmy Irsay is going to give Peyton Manning his $28 million bonus unless one of two things happen: Manning absolutely can’t play football or Manning wants out." Both of the scenarios named by King are realistic, but it sounds like the Colts will be bucking up if Manning is medically cleared and wants to stay in Indy.

After all the rumors of Turner being fired in SD at seasons end came to a conclusion finally. Looks as if they changed their minds and decided to keep him on as HC. Good move by SD i think. SD has a great Dec/Jan record under Turner, it's just the other months that are killing him.

no mention of it thusfar, but they're beatin it to death here - obviously everyone knows by now that jerry angelo (gm) and mike martz (of tell martz to **** himself fame, OC) were let go by the bears. Lovie (HC) keeps his job (makes both business and football sense i spose - a great overall record with subpar players over the years, lovie's teams routinely overachieve. on top of this he still has a year left and he can hardly be blamed for cutler/forte injuries. one can even make the case that all his bonehead 1st and 3rd qtr timeouts were results of the martz system), and in an odd twist, ted phillips (president) keeps his job, and appears to be the brains behind the decisions. very disappointing news, we thought that with george taking the reins there might be a strong voice and movement to clear the old house. apparently phillips still calls the shots though, and george follows in the footsteps of his mother and brother and foresakes the papa bear iron fist... unfortunately it looks like the same problems will continue to permeate halas hall... along with the rotten stench of ted phillips' raunchy ass

I think you missed the biggest concern a Bears fan should have. They hired Tim Ruskell last year as a hier apperent to Angelo last year didn't they. Look at what he did to the Seahawks. You think your Oline is bad now. LOL, just wait a couple years

I am also assuming Caldwell is gone in Indy once new GM is in place

not gonna get too concerned about ruskell yet - but that would be a phillips move - however im hearing a lot about les snead, reggie mckenzie, bill polian (yes!) eric decosta has "expressed interest" and so on and so on... the multitude and in some cases good choices of candidates kinda takes me by surprise, but lets me know it wont be ruskell. they kinda need to make a splash, and probably really want to given the recent developments in town. all the comments about "competing with divisional rivals" make me think they want to land mckenzie (if goin anywhere, probably raiders) or dorsey

not trying to nitpick here, but wouldn't 2011 be more appropriate? I know they got the axe in 2012 but by labeling this fired coaches of 2012 it tends to lump them into the 2012 season, and for all intents and purposes the firings are due to actions during 2011 season.
for search purposes it would make sense.

Raiders have hired Reggie McKenzie to be the GM.

Not a HC but Raider DC Chuck Bresnahan has got to go, the defense is a train wreck.
